Weather: High 84°, Low 62° ⛅

We're looking at drier conditions after Monday's rain -- Ben Bailey says there’s a very small chance of a shower in the afternoon today. Highs will reach the mid 80s. Ben also said the humidity will be slow to drop but we should notice a big difference by Tuesday night.

Thanks Ben! We like it when his forecasts include a DROP in humidity. 😎

Traffic: Eastbound I-696 service drive, M-1 construction 🚧

Attention drivers in Royal Oak and Pleasant Ridge: MDOT says it will invest $1.2 million on intersection and pedestrian safety improvements on the eastbound I-696 service drive (10 Mile Road) at the M-1 (Woodward Avenue) service drive, along with M-1 at Washington Avenue, and Washington Avenue over M-1. And that work all starts today.

Here's everything you need to know

Blowing the whistle on nursing home care ⚠️

This is a big one for anyone involved in care for the elderly: Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and other elected officials will join nursing home workers from across Detroit at SEIU Healthcare Michigan's rally today (11 a.m.) urging elected officials to investigate what they call an ongoing care crisis and enforce existing staffing regulations. We've got to look out for our senior citizens!

Feast of the Blessed Solanus Casey ✝️

It's an important day for local Catholics who are celebrating the life and legacy of the Blessed Solanus Casey. Nine days of public prayers and masses have led to today: The Feast Day, which starts with a 7:45 a.m. mass, then a noon mass, and then a 7 p.m. mass all with special invited celebrant, Cardinal Seán O'Malley, Capuchin, Archbishop of Boston. This is all at the Solanus Casey Center on Detroit's east side.
