Traffic: Portion of I-94 closing again in Detroit this weekend 🚧
Crews will be repairing pavement on I-94 in Detroit this weekend, requiring the closure of westbound I-94 from I-96 to US-12 (Michigan Avenue) starting at 9 p.m. Friday. All lanes of the freeway are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
I-75 overnight closures TONIGHT
As if we needed more I-75 construction to worry about! 😤 Construction crews will intermittently close northbound I-75 for 15-minute periods during the overnight hours TONIGHT -- this starts at 10 p.m. and will be over by 5 a.m. Friday, so says MDOT.

A funeral service will be held this afternoon for longtime Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, who died earlier this month. The funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Troy. You can watch the service live on ClickOnDetroit.

Today in history: Woodstock Music Festival opens 🎸
On August 15, 1969, the Woodstock Music Festival opens on a patch of farmland in White Lake, a hamlet in the upstate New York town of Bethel. Despite their relative inexperience, the young promoters managed to sign a roster of top acts, including the Jefferson Airplane, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival and many more. And the rest, as they say, is history.
