Metro Detroit billionaire businessman Roger Penske was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Donald Trump on Thursday.
This is the country's highest honor for civilians.
Penske got the medal for his accomplishments in business and sports, including his success as a racing owner. He has won championships in Indycar and Nascar.
