HARPER WOODS, Mich. – A man was shot early Thursday while walking in Harper Woods, police said.
According to police, the 18-year-old was walking from work to his home in the 19800 block of Beaconsfield Street just after midnight when he was approached by a tan Buick Lacrosse. Two people got out of the car and fired three shots at the man, police said.

The victim ran into his backyard, and the shooters fled the scene in the Lacrosse, which was driven by a third person. The car is believed to be a 2001-2005 model.
Police said the victim was shot once on his finger. He was listed as stable at a local hospital.
The incident is under investigation.
