Teen found not guilty of homicide in death of 70-year-old Detroit man

DETROIT – David Kentrell Williams, 17, was found not guilty of second degree homicide Thursday.

He was accused of allegedly shooting and killing James Mintz, 70, in April.

Williams was charged with second-degree homicide and felony firearm in June.

A jury found Williams not guilty of second degree homicide. He was found guilty his felony firearm charge and is expected to return to court for sentencing Nov. 19.
