Police said the man was struck before noon Tuesday in the area of Lima Center and Dexter Chelsea roads.

The train was heading west on its way from Pontiac to Battle Creek, according to authorities.

Deputies said due to the man’s injuries and the lack of information about the case, they haven’t been able to identify him. There are no reported missing people who match his description, authorities said.

The man is described as being about 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing between 200 and 250 pounds, police said. He had dark-colored hair and was likely in his late 20s to mid-30s, officials said.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office at 734-994-2911.
