11-year-old boy stable after being struck by car in Redford Township, police say

Authorities: Driver stopped at scene, called 911

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An 11-year-old boy is stable after being struck by a car Thursday in Redford Township, police said.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Six Mile Road and Kinloch Street, according to authorities.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. He was banged up, but is stable, police said.

Authorities said the driver who struck the boy stopped at the scene and called 911.

Police are calling this an accident.
