Detroit police seek man after teen girl shot during altercation about loud music

DETROIT – Police are looking for a 37-year-old man after a 16-year-old girl was shot during an altercation about loud music Sunday on Detroit’s west side.

According to police, there was a physical altercation in the 9500 block of Vaughan Street that led to the shooting at about 2 a.m.

Police said the man fled south on Vaughan Street in a 2011 Infiniti driven by another person. The vehicle turned east on W. Chicago.

The shooter is described as black with brown hair and short, black hair. He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall.
