Saturday afternoon will be the closest we’ve gotten to 40 degrees in a while. It will be a bit milder Sunday, despite gray skies. Enjoy it because snow is in the forecast Monday, which is Veterans Day.

Saturday afternoon will be partly to mostly sunny and chillier than average. Afternoon temperatures will be near 40 degrees or just a bit more. Pick out your favorite green and white sweater, coat and hat before going to the MSU football game. The Spartans host the University of Illinois in East Lansing, at Spartan Stadium. Kick off is at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Saturday evening will be partly to mostly cloudy with high and mid-level clouds overhead. Temps will be in the upper 30s.
Sunset is at 5:18 p.m. ET.
Saturday night will be mostly cloudy and chilly but not as cold. Overnight lows will be in the middle 30s.
Sunday will be cloudier, but milder. Daytime temperatures reach the mid-to-upper 40s.
Snow is released from those clouds, Sunday night and Monday. Accumulations may be an inch or more by the end of Monday with afternoon temps at or below freezing.
Another polar plunge is behind the snow. Tuesday and mid-week will see daytime temperatures in the 20s and low 30s and nighttime temperatures in the teens.
