Police: Center Line shooting suspect found dead with self-inflicted gunshot wound

Man shot in parking lot of Te Roma bar; suspect found dead

CENTER LINE, Mich. – A man was found dead at his home from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a shooting Tuesday night in the parking lot of Te Roma bar in Center Line, police said.

At about 9 p.m. Tuesday a man was shot in the parking lot of the bar along Van Dyke Avenue. Police said the man stumbled into the bar from the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to a hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The man is in his late 20s, according to police.

The shooting suspect had fled, and police were looking for him.

On Wednesday morning, Center Line police said the suspect was found dead at his home.

Police continue to investigate this shooting.
