DETROIT – Police are investigating after two people were found fatally shot inside a home on Detroit’s east side.
Police said it was a double-shooting, but the circumstances of what happened is unclear at this point in time.
Multiple police units swarmed the house on Kelly Road early Wednesday morning. They were responding to the call of someone being deceased inside a home.
When officers arrived and entered the home they found the bodies of a 29-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the body.
Neighbors said a couple lives at the home with several children.
“It’s sad. I mean, it’s a young couple. Where are the children?” A neighbor who did not want to be identified said.
Police aren’t releasing the names of the victims.
Neighbors said the couple that lived at the home could be heard fighting often.
