Attempted carjacking
A couple stopped for gas in Grosse Pointe Farms Wednesday night when a witness said a man tried to carjack them. It happened at a Shell gas station at Mack Avenue and Moross Road at the Detroit-Grosse Pointe Farms border. A witnesses said they heard a woman screaming at 8:30 p.m. shortly after a Buick Enclave pulled up to pump No. 1. The man filling up in front of it said he turned around and a man was inside the SUV and the man’s wife was inside.
