DETROIT – Happy Sunday, Motown!
After another sub-freezing start, our gradual thaw continues later today. In fact, southeast Michigan weather will be rather boring and uneventful for the next few days, which is exactly what we need.

Football fans will need their favorite Honolulu blue and silver winter gear to stay warm outside Ford Field. Staying next to the grill while tailgating is not a bad idea either.
The Detroit Lions host the Dallas Cowboys with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Outside the stadium, highs will be in the mid 30s under partly sunny skies. More melting happens during the game.
Sunset is at 5:10 p.m. ET.
Sunday evening will get closer to the freezing mark. Temperatures will be in the low 30s as clouds gather.
The quilt of clouds will keep temperatures near 30°F overnight, Sunday night into Monday morning.
Monday and Tuesday will be overcast and chilly. Gradual melting continues with high temperatures near 40°F each day.
We break 40°F on Wednesday. Partly sunny skies will help with that.
The next chance of showers will be on Thursday and part of Friday.
