Christopher Keen in court on March 14, 2019.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A dance studio owner in Clawson was found guilty of sexually assaulting one of his teenage students over a two-year period.

Police said the student was between 13 and 16 years old when he was abused in 2013 and 2014.

Clawson police said Christopher Keen, 59, was charged with criminal sexual conduct for the alleged assault of a teen at his Kaleidoscope Studio for Performing Arts in Clawson and at his home in Birmingham. He was found guilty on all counts Tuesday.

“Count one is a penetration count,” Clawson police Chief Scott Sarvello said. “Count two is a sexual contact count, so there’s touching and penetration.”

The victim said Christopher Keen, 59, initiated sex with him at Keen’s studio, at home and on a trip to Mexico.

Police believe there is more than just the one victim. In January, they said two other victims came forward but didn’t file charges due to trauma.

Investigators believe there are more victims who have not come forward.
