Detroit police mourning officer killed in line of duty
Police said a Detroit police officer was killed and another was injured in a shooting Wednesday night. Four officers were responding to reports of a home invasion in progress at 7:20 p.m. and were working to clear the home when a suspect armed with a high-powered rifle opened fire on the officers, according to Detroit Police Chief James Craig.
