Newly hired Westland police officer charged with assault, domestic violence
A Westland police officer is facing serious charges after he was arrested in the early morning hours at his home. Sebastian Iavasile was taken into custody just weeks into his tenure. The officer is accused of punching is girlfriend in the hose and officials said he tried to strangle her.
