Amazon hiring for more than 1,000 full-time jobs at fulfillment center

LIVONIA, Mich. – Amazon is now hiring for more than 1,000 full-time jobs at its fulfillment center in Livonia.

At the Livonia facility, Amazon employees will pick, pack and ship large items for customers, such as household decor items, sporting equipment and gardening tools, the company said.

Amazon said full-time employees will receive competitive hourly wages and a benefits package including health care, 401(k) and company stock awards starting on day one, as well as maternity and parental leave benefits.

In addition to wages and benefits, Amazon also offers employees programs such as Career Choice, where it will pre-pay 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields, regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon.

Since the program’s launch, more than 10,000 employees have pursued degrees including game design and visual communications, nursing, IT programming and radiology.
