WARREN, Mich. – A woman was shot and killed Friday near 13 Mile and Mound roads in Warren, and sources told Local 4 that police are questioning the victim's boyfriend.
Police said the 34-year-old Julii Johnson, of Oak Park, was shot around 7:30 a.m. while sitting in a car outside of her boyfriend's condo in the Heritage Village subdivision.
Police found Johnson lying in the yard and rushed her to St. John Oakland Hospital, where she died.
Johnson's boyfriend made a phone call to her mother at 7:33 a.m. Johnson's mother said he told her," Miss Johnson, Julii got shot." He said he heard her say, "Oh God," and saw a boy with a hoodie on running down the street.

Warren and Troy police used K-9s to try to pick up the path of where Johnson's boyfriend said the gunman ran, but sources told Local 4 that the dogs didn't pick up any scent.
Police haven't said that there are suspects in custody, but sources told Local 4 that Johnson's boyfriend is being questioned by police.
Johnson's 17-year-old daughter was picked up from high school Friday to learn the news about her mother.
