A mother fighting to stop an Ann Arbor hospital from taking her 14-year-old son off life support won a court battle to keep doctors from pulling the plug.

Porn on billboard
Two young men broke into the shack that controls a billboard along I-75 in Auburn Hills to upload pornographic images to the billboard, according to authorities.
Auburn Hills police said the two people in the picture above broke into the shack at 10:49 p.m. Saturday, just before drivers reported an electronic billboard on the east side of I-75 south of M-59 was showing a pornographic video.
Mother shot, killed
A young mother was fatally shot on Detroit's west side, police said.
The shooting happened on the 14000 block of Santa Rosa Drive at 4:43 a.m. Monday. Homicide detectives will be heading the investigation into her death as the search for a killer continues.
Khadijah Morrison, 23, was found on the ground, with her keys lying beside her, after being shot twice near her 2009 Dodge Avenger. She is the mother of a 1-year-old girl.
Sobriety test splits
A man suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol did the splits instead of his field sobriety test, according to Sterling Heights police.
The encounter was contentious with the man, who went between slurring, to belligerence and even threats. Michael Joseph Axelson, 53, took five attempts to complete a Breathalyzer test
Drugs found at home
Officials said they found heroin and cocaine at the home of a dogfighting suspect who was released from jail earlier this year.
Detroit police officers executed a search warrant around noon Wednesday at a home in the 3300 block of South Liddesdale Street in Southwest Detroit, according to authorities.
The search was to find evidence of animal cruelty or neglect associated with dogfighting, court records show.
