DETROIT – The Detroit News posted a touching tribute to WDIV veteran reporter Roger Weber, who will be, as he says, putting down the microphone and picking up a seven iron this week.

After 37 years at WDIV, Weber will be retiring this week, with his last day coming on June 26.

"He's heard a lot of crazy stuff from viewers over 37 years at WDIV, covering stories including the crash of Flight 255, the Kevorkian trial and the city of Detroit's meltdown, in a career he is winding up Friday."
