DETROIT – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is expected to hold a press conference at 2 p.m. on Wednesday to address the city’s response to coronavirus concerns.

In addition to highlighting the most recent infection and death trends, the Mayor discuss a further expansion of testing access regionally at the State Fairgrounds testing center. He also will discuss significant hiring opportunity currently available within the Detroit Police Department for Detroiters seeking work and update on the results of the efforts to reduce flooding in the Jefferson Chalmers area.

The mayor also will be joined by City Council President Pro Tem Mary Sheffield, who will discuss her efforts to support those in need during COVID-19
