MONROE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police responded to a trooper-involved shooting in Monroe County.
It happened on Monday evening on the South Dixie Highway near Dunbar.

Police said they responded to a call about a suspicious man walking the streets with a knife and yelling at cars.
The Second District Special Investigation Section is currently enroute to Monroe County for a trooper involved shooting. Preliminary information is the trooper was dispatched to a suspicious white male walking In the street with a knife yelling at cars. pic.twitter.com/6YeLse5TM5
