Gas main break in Dearborn forces people in more than 15 homes to evacuate

Gas leak repaired after a couple hours

DEARBORN, Mich. – A gas main break in Dearborn forced people in more than 15 homes to evacuate for around two hours on Monday evening.

It happened in the area Orchard Street and Michigan Avenue. Police said it was a utility mishap.

No injuries were reported. DTE Energy crews were able to cap the gas leak.
