DETROIT – A 70-year-old man was shot in Detroit overnight on Tuesday, according to police.
Police say the shooting happened at around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in the area of West 8 Mile Road and Schaefer.

The elderly man was inside a black Toyota Camry when an unknown person pulled up next to him and started shooting, police say. Police did not provide additional information on the shooter.
Currently, the victim is in stable condition.
