Video captures driver throwing explosive at Dearborn home

No injuries reported

DEARBORN, Mich. – Surveillance video shows the moments a dark-colored car pulled up to a home and someone threw what appears to be a Molotov cocktail at a house in Dearborn.

Moments after the suspect threw the explosive, you can see flashes of a big explosion. It happened at a home on Oakman Street Sunday night before 11 p.m.

Gary Mascot lives a few doors down from the house said he heard the chaos.

“We heard a big boom. I couldn’t see anything,” Mascot said.

When he opened his door to look outside, the person who threw the explosive had already fled the scene.

A motive is unclear, but only one home appeared to be singled out.

“A lot of people do dumb things. They throw fire at cars,” Mascot said.

No injuries were reported.
