SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – An 8-year-old girl who was shot Sunday evening at an apartment in Southfield has died, a source told Local 4 and ClickOnDetroit on Thursday.
The girl had been in critical condition at a hospital after being shot in her head. Police said her 20-year-old brother is the one who shot her. He is in custody and expected to face charges.

The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Sunday at the 12 North Apartments on 12 Mile Road between Northwestern Highway and Telegraph Road.
