Alpena man charged with sexually abusing minor

Abuse reported to CPS on Saturday

ALPENA, Mich. – An Alpena man has been arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Michigan State Police were called to investigate a report of sexual abuse of a minor on Saturday. The abuse was reported to have began in 2018, police said.

Police said the victim of the abuse reported it to her mother, who then contacted Child Protective Services. The investigation led to the arrest of Tony Lance Parris, 32, from Alpena.

Parris was lodged in the Alpena County Jail. He was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.

He waived his arraignment. His bond was set at $100,000 10% cash.

His next court appearance is set for Jan. 27 at 2 p.m.
