DETROIT – Michigan State Police troopers were on patrol on Interstate 75 near Davison early Thursday morning when they spotted a vehicle sitting on the shoulder.
Approaching the vehicle, they heard movement then a bark before finding a puppy inside.
The puppy, who MSP said is named “Davis,” is being cared for at Detroit Animal Care and Control. Troopers found the vehicle, which was found at about 4 a.m., with its windows down.
“We are currently looking to see who left the vehicle on the freeway. This is an issue when we find vehicles on the freeway. Often the last person the vehicle is registered to is not the one that left it. We did impound the vehicle,” read a tweet from MSP.
It there is one thing for sure about being a trooper, you are always unsure what the day or night will bring! Troopers were on patrol on northbound I 75 near the Davison around 4:00AM. There was a car sitting in the shoulder, windows worn down, and it’s pretty darn cold outside. pic.twitter.com/dKjAjF6ivT
