Son calls Romulus police to say he shot father; officers find father dead in driveway

ROMULUS, Mich. – A man called Romulus police Wednesday to say he had shot his father, and officers arrived to find the father dead in their driveway, according to authorities.

Officials said they received a call around 2 p.m. Wednesday (April 21) from a man in the 14000 block of Conover Place in Romulus.

The man said he had shot his father, police said. When officers arrived, they found a man lying unresponsive in the driveway, authorities said.

Police said the man was later pronounced dead, and the son was taken into custody.

Investigators are working to figure out what led to the shooting.
