Deputies seeking person of interest in robbery at Monroe County hotel

Officials say the woman may have information

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman in connection to an armed robbery at the Days Inn & Suites in Frenchtown Township.

Officials said the woman is considered a person of interest and may have information.

The incident happened at about 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, on Welcome Way.

Officials said the manager, desk clerk, staff members and several guests were in the lobby of the hotel when two men approached and announced a robbery.

One of the men produced a dark-colored pistol and held the victims at gunpoint throughout the entire robbery, police said. The men ordered everyone onto the ground before fleeing with cash from the safe and register, authorities said.

According to police, no one was injured.
