Hamtramck man charged in sexual assault of 13-year-old girl in Detroit

Fsle Saoeh is charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct

DETROIT – A Hamtramck man is charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a gas station on Detroit’s east side.

It was expected to be a normal trip to the gas station on April 18 for the 13-year-old and her brother to get snacks. However, according to a Detroit police report filed by the girl’s mother, that changed when one of the clerks at the Sunoco on East Seven Mile Road came around the counter.

“He grabbed her by her hoodie, pulled her close to him -- his genital area -- rubbed on her buttocks and breast area. He gave her $10 not to tell,” said the mother.

The kids went home and told their parents, who went back to the store to confront the clerk.

“We were furious, frustrated, angry. He said “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to,” the mother said. “And I continued to curse him out and told him ‘No, you’re not sorry ... I’m going to call the police and I’m not going to leave this gas station until he’s walked out of here in handcuffs.’”

Police arrived and arrested 38-year-old Fsle Saoeh.

Saoeh was arraigned Thursday on two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The mother said she is worried about the incident affecting the 13-year-old in the future.

“She’s heartbroken just as well as her mom is and she’s frightened, very frightened,” she said. “That’s something that will bother a child mentally.”
