Police search for I-94 shooting suspect in New Boston

Victim was not struck by gunfire

NEW BOSTON, Mich. – A police manhunt in New Boston is looking for a suspected shooter in connection with a road rage shooting on I-94 Friday.

An investigation into the shooting shooting closed the eastbound lanes of I-94 from Belleville to Haggerty roads. They reopened at about 2:30 p.m.

No one was injured in the road rage shooting, but the victim’s vehicle sustained damage.

It’s believed police tracked the shooter to a home in New Boston.

A house in New Boston has been surrounded by Michigan State Police troopers since about 4 p.m. MSP loudspeakers have repeatedly requested the person inside come out.

Neighbors said they didn’t see anyone come out of the home.
