16-year-old killed while walking to Detroit gas station with group of teens

DETROIT – A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot while walking to a Detroit gas station with a group of teens at about 2 a.m. Saturday.

According to authorities, it happened on Linwood Street, near West Grand Boulevard. Police said a red Chevrolet Impala pulled up and someone inside fired shots at the victim.

Police said the Impala is missing a rim on the front passenger tire. The suspected shooter’s description is unknown.
