EASTPOINTE, Mich. – Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man inside an Eastpointe home.
Eastpointe police announced Friday that they arrested a 32-year-old man from Detroit, whose identity has not yet been released, who is accused of fatally shooting a 38-year-old man. On Wednesday afternoon, Eastpointe police discovered the dead body of the 38-year-old man at a home on Ridgecroft Avenue, near Stephens and Kelly Road.

The man appeared to have suffered from several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Police announced Friday that an investigation led them to the Detroit man, who reportedly possessed “evidence of the murder” that was located when search warrants were executed.
The accused man has not yet been formally charged. Police say he will be arraigned once reports are compiled and sent to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office for review. A specific timeline was not provided.
