EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A Detroit resident has been charged in connection with the murder of a man who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside an Eastpointe home, authorities said.
Eastpointe police were called around 1:20 p.m. Sept. 29 to a home in the 2400 block of Ridgecroft Avenue, where they found a 38-year-old Eastpointe man had been fatally shot, according to officials. Police said the man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Friday (Oct. 1), authorities arrested Danny Darnell White, 32, of Detroit, in connection with the case. Police said they performed search warrants and discovered evidence linked to the murder.
White is facing charges of first-degree premeditated murder, possession of a weapon by a felon and two felony firearm violations. The first-degree murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
White was arraigned Monday at 38th District Court in Eastpointe and given a $1 million bond. he must wear a GPS tether if released.
