Listening to mom paid off for a Wayne County woman who won a $1,682,998 Lucky 7s Fast Cash jackpot from the Michigan Lottery.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought her winning ticket on Dec. 18, 2021 at Flappers Café, located at 722 Southfield Road in Lincoln Park.

“I was out with my mom and playing Club Keno,” said the 37-year-old player. “My mom told me that the Fast Cash jackpot was more than $1.6 million and suggested I give that game a try.

“I bought a couple tickets and won a few bucks and decided to buy one more with my winnings. That was when I won the jackpot. I was so excited; I really wasn’t sure how to react.
“I called the bar owner over and told him I had won and asked him to scan the ticket for me. He confirmed that I had won, and I just couldn’t believe what was happening.”
The player visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to buy a new home, pay off student loans, take her son to Disney World, and then save the remainder.
