DETROIT – A 3-year-old boy has been rushed to a hospital after he found a gun and injured himself at a Detroit apartment, police said.

The shooting happened Friday afternoon (Jan. 14) at an apartment on East Lafayette Street near , according to authorities.
Officials said the child was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.
Police were still at the home Friday night. No additional information has been revealed.
