Car crashes through Livonia home, lands inches from man sleeping on couch

27-year-old Livonia man in serious condition

LIVONIA, Mich. – A car crashed into a home in Livonia on Monday morning, landing fully inside, just inches from a man sleeping on the couch.

Livonia police and firefighters were called to a home on Iowa Street around 4 a.m. on Monday after a vehicle crashed into the house. Video shows the vehicle completely inside the home, and a photo from a neighbor in the backyard shows the vehicle nearly plowed through it completely.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Livonia man, is in serious condition. The cause of the crash is not currently known.

At the the time of the crash, a husband and wife were inside the home. The husband fell asleep on the couch, which was inches from the vehicle on the first floor.

The house has significant damage and the car is still inside.
