EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday in a crash with an SUV on 8 Mile Road in Eastpointe, police said.
Eastpointe officials said the crash happened at 7:14 a.m. Tuesday (March 15) in the westbound lanes of 8 Mile Road near Cushing Street.

When police arrived, the motorcyclist was lying in the roadway, according to authorities. That person was taken to Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit and is listed in temporary serious condition, officials said.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
Officials don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
