ROMULUS, Mich. – A Southfield man has been sentenced for trafficking a 17-year-old girl and “branding” her face with a tattoo of his name, officials said.
Tory Anderson, 34, of Southfield, is accused of trafficking the girl for commercial sex during the summer of 2019 in Michigan and elsewhere.

Anderson acted as the girl’s “pimp” by setting up sex dates and receiving money in return while providing supplies such as food and condoms, federal officials said in a release.
Authorities said Anderson had the girl tattoo his name on her forehead and the side of her face as a way of “branding her.”
He knew she was 17 years old while committing these crimes, officials said.
Anderson was arrested Sept. 3, 2019, at a motel in Roseville after he arranged for the girl to have sex with an undercover officer, authorities said. He pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking a minor.
Anderson was sentenced Monday (March 14) to 15 years in prison.
“This defendant exploited a vulnerable young girl by arranging for her to have sex with strangers over and over again for his personal profit,” U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison said. “We will continue to work closely with our local law enforcement partners and SEMTEC to vindicate the rights of sex trafficking victims and to protect our most vulnerable citizens from predators like Anderson.”
“Sex traffickers prey on the most vulnerable members of our society,” said Josh P. Hauxhurst, acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s Detroit division. “The FBI’s Southeast Michigan Trafficking and Exploitation Crimes Task Force will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to recover trafficking victims and put the perpetrators behind bars.”
