EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A man has been charged in the murder of his ex-girlfriend’s mother and uncle at a home in Eastpointe, officials said.
Eastpointe police were called around 7:30 p.m. March 25 to a home in the 15000 block of Veronica Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 63-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man had been shot multiple times.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Jerel Leon McCrary, 30, was identified as the suspected shooter, according to authorities. He and his father were arrested March 26, just outside of Bowling Green, Ohio, police said.
Police believe McCrary went to the Eastpointe home in search of one of the 63-year-old woman’s daughters. They said the daughters are usually at the home, but weren’t at this time.
McCrary’s father was an accessory after the fact, according to officials.
McCrary was arraigned March 30 on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder and two felony firearm violations.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 12.
