‘Ongoing neighbor trouble’ leads to Roseville shooting -- 1 arrested, 1 in hospital

58-year-old man arrested; 41-year-old man injured

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – One person was arrested and another was found lying in the middle of the street after “ongoing neighbor trouble” led to a shooting in Roseville, police said.

Roseville officials were called around 5:35 p.m. Monday (April 11) to the 18000 block of Meier Street.

They said they found a 41-year-old Roseville man lying in the street. He had been shot once in the lower abdomen, according to authorities.

Police said the victim was shot by a 58-year-old Roseville man, who immediately surrendered to officers. He was taken into custody, and a 9 mm handgun was recovered, authorities said.

Officials said the shooting stemmed from “ongoing neighbor trouble” between the two men.

The shooting victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing emergency surgery, police said. He is expected to fully recover.

Roseville police continue to investigate.
