DETROITDetroit police released video of a man walking up to a gas station, lighting a Molotov cocktail, and throwing it through the door before running away.

The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. April 29 at a gas station in the 10800 block of West 7 Mile Road, according to authorities.

You can see surveillance video below.

Officials said the man fled south on Meyers Roads after throwing the Molotov cocktail inside.

A person inside the gas station store had their clothing catch fire, police said. That person fled from the scene.

Minimal damage was done to the gas station, according to officials.

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible. Anyone with information is asked to visit Detroit Rewards TV, where a $500 reward is being offered for information that moves the investigation forward.
