Police search for man last seen at Michigan concert this weekend; landowners asked to check fields

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police are searching for a missing man who was last seen at a concert in Grand Rapids over the weekend, and they’re asking landowners in the area to check their fields.

Logan Thayer Sweet, 31, was last seen Sunday (July 24) at a concert at The Listening Room in Grand Rapids, according to Michigan State Police.

An MSP helicopter searched for Sweet overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in the Dorr and Burnips areas, which are south of Grand Rapids. That’s his last known location, authorities said.

Police are asking landowners in those areas to check their fields, according to a tweet.

Troopers and Sweet’s family are continuing the search. Sweet is about 6 feet tall and weighs 240 pounds, they said. He was last seen driving a charcoal gray 2022 Kawasaki 650 sport bike.
