ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – A Troy woman was killed Tuesday after her car was struck as part of a three-vehicle crash at an intersection in Rochester Hills, police said.
The crash happened at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 30) at the intersection of Adams and Auburn roads, according to authorities.

Mary Josephine Howe, 85, of Troy, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Impala north on Adams Road and tried to turn left onto Auburn Road, officials said.
When the Impala started to turn, it was struck by a 2015 Jeep Patriot, which was heading south on Adams Road, according to police. The driver of the Jeep was a 31-year-old Lake Orion woman, authorities said.
After the first collision, the Jeep struck a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze that was stopped at the traffic light on eastbound Auburn Road and waiting to turn left onto Adams Road, police said. The Cruze was driven by a 28-year-old Pontiac woman, according to officials.
Howe was taken to a nearby hospital by Rochester Hills firefighters and later died from her injuries, police said.
The 31-year-old Lake Orion woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities.
Officials said the 28-year-old Pontiac woman declined medical treatment.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor, police said.
Oakland County deputies continue to investigate.
