Warren police still searching for woman who robbed bank at gunpoint

WARREN, Mich.Warren police are still searching for a woman who held a clerk at gunpoint while robbing a bank.

The robbery happened around 11 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 15) at the Fifth Third Bank near Van Dyke Avenue and 11 Mile Road.

Officials said a woman in her mid-30s walked into the bank wearing a Carhartt cap, glasses, and a surgical face mask. She spoke with a clerk at the counter and then pulled out a handgun, according to authorities.

The woman demanded money, so the worker complied. The woman fled the bank on foot with an unconfirmed amount of cash, police said.

Officials describe the woman as being about 5 feet, 2 inches to 5 feet, 4 inches tall. She was last seen wearing dark-colored pants and a black T-shirt.

Police said the woman walked east toward Washington Boulevard and North Kennedy Circle after leaving the bank.
