DETROIT – A man is in critical condition Monday after being run over by a car during an altercation, Detroit police report.
Authorities say that at about 10:35 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, two men got into a verbal argument that escalated in a parking lot.
Two men driving two separate cars reportedly pulled into the parking lot of a liquor store in the area of Joy and Greenfield roads. After getting into a verbal fight, one man was walking back to his car when the other man ran him over in a gray sedan, police said.
The man who was run over was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition. Police were looking for the other man, as he reportedly fled the scene.
Officials say the men involved in the altercation know each other. Neither of their identities have been released.
No other details have been released at this time. The police investigation is ongoing.
