PINCONNING, Mich. – A Michigan man said he went running out to his truck when he learned from a coworker that a lottery ticket worth more than $270,000 had been sold at the store where he bought his ticket.
The Bay County man said he purchased a Fantasy 5 ticket at Larry’s Corner Lounge on West Third Street in Pinconning, which is north of Saginaw. His ticket matched the Sept. 7 drawing numbers: 14-19-21-34-36.

“I got a call from my co-worker the day after the drawing, asking me if I had bought a ticket at Larry’s,” he said. “He told me a jackpot winning ticket had been bought at that store, so I went running to my truck to grab my ticket. I looked my ticket over, and I couldn’t believe I was holding the winner.”
The jackpot was worth $271,601. He claimed his prize with the plan to pay bills and then save the rest.
