Detroit police search for man, woman after 21-year-old carjacked

DETROITDetroit police are searching for two people after a 21-year-old woman was carjacked.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 1) at an unspecified location.

A man and a woman approached a 21-year-old who was sitting in her blue 2020 Ford Fusion, according to authorities. The man ordered her out, and he and the woman got inside the car before driving away, police said.

Officials said the Fusion was later recovered. Nobody was injured.

The man was wearing a black jacket that also had red and white on it. Police said he was armed.

The woman is described as “heavy set,” according to officials.

Detroit police are asking for the public’s help in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 313-596-2555, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP to remain anonymous.
