A 30-year-old woman said she was at the Motor City Casino when she requested a ride from an unknown woman driving a 1998-2005 gold Buick Century. She asked to be taken to Greektown Casino, officials said.

The driver took her to the area of West Warren and Woodward avenues before grabbing the victim’s purse and throwing it out the window to two men standing at the bus stop, according to authorities.

When the victim got out of the Century and chased after the two men, one of them struck her in the face, officials said.

The men fled in the Century. They took her purse, which contained her identification card and cash.

No descriptions of the men or the driver of the Century were provided.

Wayne State officials said the woman is not associated with the university.
